CLASS OF '65 60th BIRTHDAY & TEMPE HIGH 100th ANNIVERSARY

The celebration is almost here. By now I hope all of you have received all the information we sent in the mail and also by email. I'm just going to briefly go over the details here.
The Homecoming Game is Friday, October 19. Tickets are $4 at the gate. There is a parade on Friday ending with a Pep Rally. If there are enough interested classmates, we can register and march in the parade down Mill Avenue. After the game, there is Tempe Celebration at Tempe Beach Park until midnight. Tickets will be availabe @ the gate, no price has been given yet. Contact Michael Monti @ mmonti@montis.com.
The Blue & White Bash dinner & dance is Saturday, October 20. Tickets are $40 per person and reservations should be made with Doug Royse @480-839-6600 or doug.royse@kw.com. There is a family picnic on Saturday. Tickets are $12 adults and $6 for under 12. Reservations should be made with LuAnn Kenner @ 480-736-4087 or lkenner.ths.tuhsd.k12.az.us.
There are several more activities planned. Contact any of the above people to get a complete list.

HEY CLASS OF '65 KEEP APRIL 7TH OPEN ON YOUR CALENDARS. THE ANNUAL GET TOGETHER AT ROCKS SPRINGS IS ABOUT HERE. THIS WILL BE A SORT OF UNOFFICIAL 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR US ALL. STEVE AND PAM DUNN WILL BE HERE AGAIN THIS YEAR. THE BAR-B-QUE IS $10 AT THE DOOR. BEER IS .50 A GLASS AND THERE IS LIVE ENTERTAINMENT AND DANCING IN THE EVEINING. I WILL POST MORE INFO AS IT GETS NEARER TO TIME.
ALSO KEEP IN MIND THE 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF TEMPE HIGH SCHOOL. THAT WILL BE WHEN WE WILL OFFICIALLY CELEBRATE OUR 60TH BIRTHDAY. PLANS ARE TO GO TO THE HOMECOMING GAME AS A CLASS. DATES HAVE NOT BEEN SET YET SO WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW AS SOON AS I KNOW WHEN IT WILL TAKE PLACE. I BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE LATE OCTOBER.

Hello Dear Friends,
The reunion was truly wonderful, it went by too fast! I was so happy to see everybody! Missed the friends who weren't there. Have regrets about not hugging Susan Mecham, Alan Holly and Fred Wood and a few others... I know and like everybody, just get tired quickly, so please forgive me if I missed you... Tempe is where my great love affair with these United States started and I chose to stay here for good.
I want to thank Al, Barb and Zenna for organizing this reunion and getting all of us together, they are the sweetest, most patient folks I've met.
Tony Occhiuzzi was so very kind and sweet to give us a great tour of our beloved Tempe High. We were so impressed with all the incredible growth and the changes. I am sorry he got sick and couldn't make it to the dinner. I wish him well. How about that wonderful Charlie Voss? Mi Padre delighted me to no end when he started chatting in Turkish with me! It turns out he had spent 18 months in Ankara. He's another lovable teddy bear like Al! I loved seeing my friends from the band, Dave LeTarte and Bill Elliott, Mike Jost, Julie and Connie, what a fantastic group of musicians they were that I followed them everywhere!
I extended my stay another day and got to see and sip wine with the incredible, larger than life, Mr. Kirkpatrick. Had dinner with the amazing Mr. Flanagan and his wife and had breakfast with our pride and joy in the political arena, Mr. Mitchell, and his wife along with Janet Wall and Ed Bufford, it was all so sweet. We reminisced, got misty eyed and had a lot of laughs! Zenna's dear husband Jerry Hall was the greatest trooper, keeping up with all of us as our big brother!
I just hope God will let me come back and see you all one more time at least. And you all know where I live. Come and visit me, keep in touch, don't be strangers. I am going to visit family in Istanbul in December. If anyone is planning a trip there, you have to let me know.

New Cafe

Just Thought I would let you all know that I opened a Cafe up here in Healy, Alaska this past year we call it Rose's Cafe.
If any of you all (my classmates) decide to visit this great state be sure to stop by and say hi.

Here is what I request. Please use your full name when you register. If you have already registered, please go back and add you name. We want to know who you are. This is really a private site so please publish you email so friends can get in touch with you. If you don't want to publish your email, check in once in awhile and see if you have any private messages.
We started this site so we can all keep in touch and maybe find that long lost friend.
Upload some pictures, share some news. Don't make me do all the work. I want input from all of you.
Remember the Bar-B-Que and Nut fry in Rock Springs on April 1, 2006. $10 all you can eat, cheap beer, live entertainment and dancing on the patio under the stars. Doesn't get much better than that!

We really hope for this site to become a source you can check out and keep in touch with your class.
